hi lads was just wondering is there any tackle dealer in the cork area selling lrf rods.

Not sure about cork m8, but the link below has Major Craft SOLPARA range for sale, great LRF rod, Highly recommended!!

You might be hard pushed to find LRF rods in Ireland, you may find light spinning rods but there not quite the same thing. I actually use a 7'3" 0.5-5g MajorCraft Solpara (solid tip) myself, its a nice little entry level LRF rod, I got mine from the UK though. If you're just looking to dip your toe into this LRF stuff, it might be worth having a look at the LRF starter kits from http://www.artoffishing.co.uk. They also sell a bunch of lrf rods, from entry level to the high end stuff, so it might not be a bad starting point. That said LRF originates from Japan though and unsurprisingly Plat.co.jp have a much bigger range.

I got a kit set up from art of fishing and they were very easy to deal with, they have some fairly cheap rods on there with everything you could need for lrf.
