Right its about time i got myself a multipier and have pretty much decided on a slosh, sounds like a pretty good allround reel and for a reasonable price!as far as i can gather the difference between the 2 is the line capacity and weight of the reel!i intended to use it for shore fishing and also have the option to use it as a boat reel but i dont know if the 30 would be to heavy for shore fishing!or the slosh 20 would be not suitsable on the boats.so im inbetween minds on which to get!
if anyone has a similar reel your help would be much appreciated
cheers fergal

The 20 will be absolutely fine from a boat.

I have both and to be honest the only time the 30 is called into play is when I'm after tope, other than that the 20 is dead on for most aspects of boat and shore.

I have both and would rather 2 slosh 20's. I did get the 30 to use off the boat, however I could easily use the 20 instead. I have a small 20 sized reel with level wind that I use for the boat with braid. Hope that helps

Just to add, currently looking at the saltist bg 20 and the new seagate 20 to use as my main goto bass reel.

Two very good reels and perfect for boat trips as well. For what its worth i used to fish with a slosh 20 but found it a little hard to control with an onshore wind, brillant retrieve though.I ended up with a penn mag 525 instead and found it much easier to control and again decent retrieve and good distances.
I filled it with 20lb mono and have used it on boats when targetting smaller stuff and where braid not required.Easy enough reel to master especially if its your first attempt at using one.Best of luck with what ever you choose.
