Breathable Waders.

Fri Mar 02, 2012 10:58 am

Hi lads,

I'm on the market for a pair of breathable waders, and boots.
Most likely either something from Greys, or Sonik.
Thing is I don't fancy buying waders mail order from Britain, as I'd prefer to try them on in-store somewhere, before I drop €200+ on them, plus I'd have an easier time returning them to a shop in Ireland should there be
any issues with premature leaks, etc.
Just wondering could anyone recommend a shop anywhere in Ireland that stocks a decent range of waders, as there isn't much on offer here in Limerick.
I don't mind having to spend €50 on diesel in order to get a decent fitting pair of waders, and to deal with a reputable shop.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Patrick.

Sound, thanks. I had been looking on Southside's website, and they seem to have a decent range.
Hopefully I'll be in Dublin in the next month or so, and I'll call in there.
Cheers,
Patrick.

Hi. If you're anyway handy for the N17, there are two very well stocked tackle shops in Ballina, Mayo, which have a good range of breathables. They do a big trade with visiting salmon anglers so some of the stuff is a bit pricey but I got a kit for under €200 last year. One of them is online, not sure about the other one, but I'm going in there today and will check it out.

Hi Patrick

Based in Limerick and know what you mean about lack of choice, the mate and myself would get a lot of our gear in Halfway Angling Centre in Cork, Dan also has an online shop www.tackledirect.ie, gentleman to deal with and has good gear
