Braid or mono?????

Hey lads just wodering what your opininions are on braid for close range match fishing for flounders, coalies dabs and other species compared to mono... And what you think the advantage is of using it??

with braid you will know when a crab crawls up your rig never mind when you get a bite for very close work you could drop your shockleader and go braid straight through once your just lobbing it out.

Mono for me. Braids just too sensitive in close. puts the fishys off

Mono for me too, braid can pull the hook too easy on a lightly hooked fish in the surf.

if you like me grew up with mono better to stick with what you know...

have to agree with mono for close in work,fish could be put of by the the feel of the bait on braid tension wise.the mono has a certain amount of give where the braid has not

agree with above comments i have seen too many lads with their rods dancing a jig only to pull in empty hooks and they wonder why this is happening above comments cover this scenario
