Anyone have any idea if there are inserts available for Alconites? I've cracked my tip

I don't think so, better replace the tip ring, they are fairly reasonable pricewise and it's an easy job to do but just to make sure I'd say fire off a PM to ShaneH he'll be able to give you proper advise there.

yeh just replace the whole tip ring , and when you order a new one get 2 , then with the spare one melt hot melt glue into it and let it go cold , then just bring it with you as a spare , all you need to do then is whip off the old one , heat up the new one with a lighter and pop it on , or
just get it built with minima 4s 8)

8) as above, and - as a word of advice, don't forget to measure the rod tip diameter with a caliper rather than guessing before you order the tip ring to get the size correctly, nothing more annoying as to receive the wrong diameter after all the waiting time and having to send them back for replacement. Been there done that

rod rings and things are brilliant to deal with and the minima range are brilliant as well.

it takes two seconds to replace the tip ring but dont be asking Daniel to whip it for ya
