Happy New Year all!

Can anyone tell me what is the closed season for Digging Ragwoorm & who decides on and enforces it??

it is not a law as far as i know but just good practics not to dig for them from halloween untill march as this is there spawing time and allowes for the stocks of them to recover after all the digging in the summer months but not many people stick to this most of the tackel shops still sell worms during this time

Totally agree, lug is a better winter bait, only problem is getting it, digging lug during the cold months is hard work. I know a guy who spent 2 hours digging 35 lug last week.

NOT LAW JUST GOOD TO LET STOCKS BUILD UP LUG MUCH BETTER IN WINTER

Totally agree, lug is a better winter bait, only problem is getting it, digging lug during the cold months is hard work. I know a guy who spent 2 hours digging 35 lug last week.

i dont know what the digging is like in kerry but up here in dublin there all over the place you could dig a few hundred in 2 hours
