suffix tritanium is a good allround mono at that breaking strain but one mono ive been using lately and am highly impressed with is sakuma night crystal in 18lb i bought a bulk spool of it and use it on my 525s and find it a great mono.. very durable soft and supple and quite cheap as lines go.. daiwa tournament is also worth a look

I have been using Ultima Distance for quite a while for fishing mainly clean/mixed ground and estuaries and find it casts well, supple and easy to knot and fairly abrasion resistant.
I've found it doesn't go all crinkly like red ice and some other lines.
Stay clear of F1, it's overpriced stretchy rubbish, red ice is just as awful, Daiwa tournament is a good line but too expensive, but I can't knock the Sakuma.
Distance is a good all round line for the money.
You can get it cheaply from here http://www.jims.org.uk/fishing/ultima.htm
or here:

or just google for it. Hope this helps.

not sure about affordable but recently got a few spools of line from a mate bought in the us suffix siege 17lbs i have to say it is a really excelent line and have now changed all my reels to this very smooth, soft and casts like a dream and supposed to be very abrasion resistant
