How to get to Greystones North Beach

Hi,
I am originally from East Anglia in the UK where the beach fishing used to be great.
I have fished at Killiney a few times with little success but have heard that the North Beach at Greystones can be good at times.
Can anyone give me directions on how to get there. I will be coming from Dublin on the M50. I don't know Greystones at all so the more detail the better.

Coming from Dublin, take the N11 by car or brtter still the train south to Greystones. The north beach is located north of the small harbour.
There is ample parking around the harbour itself bar at weekends when it gets busy socially with the bars and restaurants etc. You can walk up the beach from the harbour - simple at that ... really!

PS: I would never be without mussels as there are heavy beds of them offshore, they are often battered by the gales from now on and can be the only bait that fish will feed on, occassionaly very close in...

If you want to go to the north or mid end of the North Beach, you can take a left at the bottom of the dip in the road from Bray to Greystones. Park on the road side of the rail tracks - there is a crossing and path down to the beach - saves a bit of walking if you want to go further up.

The M50 extension has made things a bit easier now as it links up with the M11 without you knowing, anyway once on the M50 carry on along the motorway which changes to the N11 just after the Bray exit, go through Kilmacanoge, The Glen of the Downs and then look out for an exit for Delgany. Go down the slip road and turn left at the junction (about 100mts down the road), follow the narrow windy road through Delgany until you come to a mini roundabout, go through that and you come to a second mini roundabout a few hundred mts further on. The first exit left takes you back towards Bray and the start of Greystones, second exit takes you towards the far end of the town (Ballygannon end) and the third exit takes you to Kilcoole/Newcastle/Five Mile point/Killoughter.
The second exit is more straight forward as it brings you up along the main st and the harbour is at the top end on your right. Mussel is a must as the lads said and the DART is an easy way of getting there but you then have to carry all your gear to your mark from the station.
You can also get there via Bray town itself by keeping left of the town hall and following the road up and over the big hill, this gives you a nice view of the harbour and town as you come down the other side. The only problem is that Bray's traffic can be bad a lot of the time and you can end up sitting in traffic wasting good fishing time.
Anyway enjoy Greystones Nth beach as there's normally good fishing on it.
