Any opinions on which hooks are better for hook ups the B940 short shank or the normal B940 for
A. Size 4s and 2s Flounder with possibility of bass for flappers in the surf
B. Size 2s for dogs with possibility of ray and Huss for clip down rigs

short shank for bass and flats and the normal ones for dogs as short shank are very hard to remove when deep hooked

Thanks. Are short shanks difficult to unhook even with Gemini disgorgers?
Anyone else?

I might get some match hooks for scratching where their unlikely to be any decent fish. Sounds like short shanks are recommended for flats

I have used short shanks before and they are good, but if you think a flat will swallow a long shank aberdeen, wait til you see what he will do to a short shank...wouldn't advise them for flats.
Use them for small fish baits for Whiting and such, Wrasse also.

I use the match type for most of my fishing along the east coast. If using bigger hooks like 2/0 I'd get the normal type. Sometimes it's handy in a snaggy spot for the hooks to bend out if caught in kelp though. Greystones being the usual spot

Well there's no way that the 100 box are even as good as the normal ones!
