the tip tornado sport is one of the best fishing rods ever made in my opinion, very slim rod, great bite detection and stacks of power.you can fish practically any where with one.read the write up on the century web site.cheers

I have the Tip Tornado Match version. Very good rod, good bite detection and no trying to guess if its a small bite or tide movement on the tip as it sits very still. Bags of power and distance if you can use it. A friend tried it and my 6500CT didn't have enough line capacity ! then again he's a way better caster than i am. also the butt section is very small in diameter, good if you don't have shovel size hands!
Its slightly less powerful than the sport, a friend has the sport who is very happy with it and uses it for all his fishing now, from flounder to cod and fishing all sorts of ground.
Only gripe i can see with the rod is the tip ring would have been better with being a slightly bigger size. Any weed on the leader knot and most of the time it sticks. Not good if your 30ft up on a rock with a good fish on . The one i have is factory finished so didn't get a choice on tip ring etc. Bought if from Poingdestre's as they were much cheaper than anyone else.
Well worth the £200+

The tip tornado sport are a great rod all round actually im thinking of buying the super match has anyone tried one of the super match tip tornado.
One thing I notice about the tip tornado sport is when distance casting you have to speed it up a bit to compress the blank rod as i find it harder to get distance when using a more relaxed style.....

ttsupermatch - had a chuck with one a while back, loved it!having watched the owner use it over the last year it has to be one of the best all round versatile rods ive seen.at the lighter end of the scale the ttultralite13 is also unbeleivable for lighter leads.

what do yee make of the kompressor sport for rough ground lads??

hi all,
mb3
been using the kompressor sport for most of my mixed/rough ground fishing over the last few years usually teamed with either a slosh or 525mag, really cant fault it, a super rod, will handle all but the roughest of ground, very capable on doubles and trebels of doggies and decent sized conger and ray, but not overly stiff to relay whats going on on the business end, a definate 9 out of 10 from me. a friend of mine had a pair of costum built 14 foot k sports built for him by century cost him a fair bit but well worth it, the extra foot improved casting capabilities and handling on landing decent fish.

cheers rocket man. appreciate that! how do u find loading the rod? would it make a good long range clean beach rod?

hi all,
mb3
it loads well with a fair bit of effort wont wrench your arms off though but slowly and progressively is the key only speeding up and hitting hard at the very last stage of the power stroke (thats what works for me anyway im 6' 2" around 17 stone) mine is around 4 years old and has softened a little causing some tip bounce at the end of a powerful cast doesnt really affect distance much though.
it is a good distance rod but I would go for something a little stiffer for extreme range fishing especially if you can sacrifice a little on bite registration which lets face it is always a comprimise at long range anyway, and would definatley favour a 14 footer, I currently use a zziplex lt14 which is the best long range fishing rod ive ever used a dream to cast gives me at least 40 yards on the k sport and handles most situations readily from scratching at range with 2 or 3 clipped downs to small or large single baits at very long range, my only problem with it is that I only have the one! Im currently saving to buy another.
