fish the shore under the old head of kinsale lighthouse

Is it possible to get access to fish under the light house ? From looking at some maritime maps I have it looks like a decent place to fish from but I cant find any info on fishing it or how to get access.Would anyone have an experience with this area? I would't be too sure about the current situation.... was there not a set up where if you produced an IFSA membership card you could pass through to fish?
