New to mayo

Hi,I am new to north mayo and a relative newcomer to the sport,can any one point me in the direction of good fishing,appreciate any help,I understand a lot of people might be reluctant to share their spots.just looking for general areas,thanks

hi, there is great fishing to be had in north mayo

i think if you asked more specific questions you might get a better response - what type of fishing are you after?

Sorry,was a bit vague,I prefer bait fishing for bass and trout

killala Boat Club are holding an open shore competition on sunday 4th dec, meet at mcdonnels garage killala at 10.30am,lines in
around11.30am
the venue is lacken strand ,possible catch=flounder,small turbot,dabs,dogfish ,sea trout and you never know bass,
entry 10 euro,junior 5 euro
prizes later on that day
(mackerel frzn or fresh and lug work well here)
