dont know about cheekpoint but i was down in bellview yesterday(tuesday) with a mate and all we caught was 1 codling about 2lbs and 2 dabs(very small) and a rockling....was using lug and the crabs were stripping hooks in about 10 mins.
two other blokes came in later and fished for the last 2 hours of the rising tide..but didn't have any luck.....so the cod don't seem to be running in any great numbers yet..hope this is some help

you cant fish bellview it self but if you take the road down to the left by smart ply
drive to the end of the road until you hit the barrier park up and walk down it only a few mins walk
