Smock

Hi,

Need a new jacket and was wondering if anyone has used the sundridge stormbeach quilted smock.
Looks good for less than €50 but just wanted to make sure if it was warm enough for winter.

Thanks in advance,

Hi al

Got one of these myself , first impression was good , has nice deep pockets and a peek on the hood but then noticed it only had single stitching. Was out the second time using it in heavy rain and it let the rain in and my smokes in the nice deep pockets got wet too
Brought it back to the shop and the said it must be a faulty one and replaced it so I should find out the next rainy session I have

Hi Al

I got myself a fully waterproof, breathable hiking jacket double seamed and lots of pockets ( for creep to put hermit crabs in ha ha ) all with zips from TK Max in blanch it only cost €50 and it has kept me dry and warm as the session in Arklow proofed with the waves coming over the back wall and have used it in the monster rain we just had. I wear it over my chesties and no bother with the cold. Might be worth a look.

Cheers for the replies lads much appreciated!
Not liking the sound of the single stitching though, would prefer to spend a few more sheckles and get something of a better quality, would be worth it...smokes are expensive

Yeah had to wear one of them in an old job, keep ya dry but that plastic up around your neck is uncomfortable, but maybe the new ones are better. I am but a delicate flower
Settling on a Lacey little number from northface,

Cheers for the replies lads

Hi

Have you any idea what make/brand of this jacket was sound like a great jacket for that price....

Also Al what ever smock you buy word of advice stay away from the new greys one or you will be going home wet.
I know a lot of lads that got them and ended up take in them back and the second one also let in water.
I too am after a good one that will keep me dry.
