i was out in the beachs a few nights around ballycotton bay the week before last & had a few codling about the 45cm mark, not many for the hours i put in i must admit but i would expect a few fish more to be around this week if the beachs are clean, especilly after the bad weather we had the last 2 weekends.

If you check a recent post on here with regards to youghal bridge which is east corkish, you will see that there are a few knocking about and once all this weed around the place clears there should be even more, just stick to the normal areas where they show and you'll be fine.

there is cod around most beaches in east cork now find an area without weed and you WILL get cod try beaches around harbour entrances or the rock marks if you know them
