I USE A MULTIPLIER ROD AND REEL FOR SHORE FISHING, HOWEVER I GOT TO ADMIT MOST OF MY FISHING TO DATE HAS BEEN BOAT. MY REEL IS LOADED WITH 15IB LINE WITH MATCHING ROD. IT WOULD HELP ALOT IF SOMEONE COULD PLEASE TELL ME WAT I NEED TO BE USING BECAUSE I KEEP GETTIN TOLD OTHERWISE, THANKYOU

you say that you are using a multiplier rod and reel do you mean a boat rod -that is a short (7feet or there abouts) and a boat multipier reel orare you using a beach rod (12-13feet long) that has been set up for a casting multipier reel? if you are using the first set up and managing to cast any distance (over 25yards) i take my hat off to you but you are still doing it all wrong!!!! what you need is the second set up (only personally i would not use a multiplier if you are starting out, go for a fixed spool)and do not forget a shock leader of about 50-60lb breaking strain or you could find yourself seriously hurting someone!
