Hi lads,
Was in a tackle shop today told the guy i was heading to ennereilly tonight, he told me that recently there is a lot of instances of peoples cars being broken into while lads were fishing. He also told me it is even a bit dangerous fishing there alone at night due to these scumbags has anyone heard anything about this as i have heard nothing and read nothing here about it
Thanks

Yes sadly it's true about the cars. If you fish the South beach straight out from where you park you can keep an eye though. I wouldn't dare leave my car out if sight around there at the moment.

I vote for using car bait and 10 of us waiting in the bushes for a bite

Of course I'd like to point out that this course of action is not officially endorsed by SAI and furthermore, no one here is experienced in watching cars from the bushes.

Lads, i understand the frustration, but we don't allow posts that even appear to condone violence against anyone

Pity most of the good marks are in out of the way places these aholes may be horrible ignorant little b*****ds,but they arnt stupid they can put two and two together, they know were busy on the beach, especially at laytown where its a fair walk to the water all they need to see is a head lamp pointing there way and there alerted, same as ennerielly they will get the headlamp alert, but violence wont work if enough people contact guards they will set u a sting,we would only end up in a world of crap but thats the reality of the irish justice system,in regards to laytown park at the bridge there doin it up and theres a security man there all night to watch equiment, but if the correct way dosent work ,by all means go nuts on them at least u tried to do it right

Sorry JD, I understand,

Its so fustrating that as a family man i have very few Night fishing days on offer and when you know of a great mark, and the possibilties of friends hookin up from this website and we all head out, then some little "*(& decideds nothin more to wreck a car looking for something it really gets my back up.. my car insurance is high enough as it is and of course there no recourse with vandalism with insurance companies, I hate the thought of yet again trying to find a "new" mark were we can all hook up, with enough space and keep an eye on the cars as well.
As far as Laytown Ive done that, and also a quick chat with the securtiy guard doesnt go amiss if ya see him.
Ringing the guards is definetly the first approach though!!!
A queastion about this though spring to mind... why does this happen at certain times of the year at any mark?? Cant wrap my head around that >
Anyway mickm how did you get on?
@ Sparkey+1 we might try another mark nearby...anyone else interest PM me

I intended going there this weekend. I'm having second thoughts. I have met gangs of lads drinking there before but I have never had any problems.
