thanks yngkmd. yes, the grey gurnard has these 'legs' too but i guess they are tucked-up on the fish in the photo i posted (courtesy of google images...) - maybe because it is swimming off the bottom.yngkmd wrote:nice pictures of gurnard there chuckaroo

definitely Jayball, the tubs are the only ones with the blue rim around the edges, they all have it.
also, the pectoral fins on the tubs are really big; they can range in colour but most of the ones ive seen are in variations of red. more photos below!.......
