hi mate if you look on the met eireann web site there is a section that gives out all the buoys around ireland and they will give you the water temp at the moment

water temp at present for Irish sea is 14.4, air temp is about 14.1 But anyone else hear about possible snow for Halloween???

Hi Simplywabs,
Part of my job involves monthly monitoring of inshore water temperatures from the Shannon estuary to Bannow bay. At the moment the temperatures on this part of the coast range (roughly) from 14C - 16C. Last December when we monitored them, they ranged from 6C-9C. I would imagine those are pretty typical temperatures for the rest of the coastline.
It's almost impossible to forecast what inshore temperatures are going to be, as so many factors influence them.
