whitebait

was out getting sandeels last night and there was a lot of whitebait around just wondering are they any good as bait :?: :?:

Ive only used em for mackeral,so its hard to tell but if u dont handle them too much they freeze well ,i cant imagine many fish turning up their noses if they see ur bait flowing about in the tide,try em and see anyway they wud make a handy bait

I got a flounder once on one of them, just happened to hook into one on a retriveand accidently killed it opps, so rather then waste it tied it to the hook, casted and a flounder took it, and i took the flounder :D In hindsight I suppose you could say I swapped fish??

Wash them in fresh water pat them dry put them in seasoned flour and into a red hot pan for 30 secs yum yum pigs bum!!!! great human bait :lol:
Never caught anything on them and have used them loads!!!!!

got on flounder and turbot on them,,,nothing else really
