"Razor" ways to keep 4 further use ?

Freeze in shell,remove salt and freeze any tips would be welcome
l find after been frozen they are a bit soft !!!!!!!!

hi Leadhead, with the big tides tomorrow i was going to have a go at collecting some razor and came across the following article,

Maybe it will be helpful,

i find they get more stinky after been frozen,,,i freeze in the shell and wrap in paper first

Put them in your sink with no plug in, pour over a big pan of boiling water to blanch them. Dry them out as much as possible. Lay them out individually in the freezer to get a quick freeze. Then bag them up, preferably in opaque white polythene bags (to help prevent freezer burn.)
Shells on, shells off its up to you. The ones in the shells take up more freezer space.

interesting never used these and would like to try them on the east coast

try a few fresh ones you will keep them for up to a week in the fridge if you put rubber bands around em and keep them wet (salt water )they are quite tough when live i just put rubber bands on em wrap them up in a small freezer bag and freeze them in a ziplock bag then i can take as few or as many as required ,they do still catch after refreezing so a very economical bait

I remember reading on here a couple of times that they are better if they have been refrozen.

Freeze in shells in packs of 5, when thawed out for fishing place on bait needle and wind lots of bait elastic around them. They can then be cut into small bits for cocktails or used whole. Very good bait
