Where to bring a beginner sea fishing?

Whats up lads. A friend has asked me to bring him sea fishing for the first time. I'd know abit about rigs, baits, different fish and methods etc but I dont really sea fish that much so dont know any good spots. IF you could maybe pm me with a good spot relitively snag free i'd appreciate it! I was thinking somewhere like Howth or poolbeg for some macks/pollock but they tend to be VERY over crowded at times.

Thanks!

You can't really beat the East pier in DĂșn Laoghaire for beginners. Straight down the side with rag on hooks smaller than size 2 for wrasse and small pollack. Float fishing a bit further out for mackerel using mackerel strips. Fish between five yards and 30 yards out. Its not too snaggy. If you want I'll PM you a decent rock mark if you're happy to do a bit of rock hopping, which holds better wrasse and pollack to around a pound. It's snaggy but you should get a few fish.

thanks for the reply. I was considering Dun Loaghaire alright chance a bit of rag on a float and see what comes up. Dont mind the rock hopping at all, adds, to the adventure. I'd appreciate the p.m. if you wouldnt mind!

Many Thanks
