above info is correct, unfortunately baits cannot be obtained close by, better bring your own stock or order in advance. Excellent quality and reliable service from http://www.wix.com/codlover/nationwidebaits, I get all my stuff from there, highly recommended!
One other small  detail worth mentioning is to make sure you get a few squid ordered as well to wrap your mackerel or sandeel into it, otherwise the armies of crab will destroy your bait in no time. Forget about worm baits, apart from black lug wraps, they are a bit tougher but mainly attract small dabs  there. Rag is a waste of time and money and lug only works as cocktail with mackerel or squid at least 150 yards out, depending on tides and currents. Check out tide tables and be there 2 hrs before high. Hope that helps and tight lines!

I agree with all of the above... from loads of crabs up to what can be fished. That area seemed un-fishable on ebbing... very strong current going out plus weeds...

2 to 3 hours before high is your best bet.

Good Luck...
