Mini fish ID please?

Not up on the mini species yet. I have downloaded and printed the mini species guide but didnt have it out today :roll: The Wrasse are all probably Ballen but one had blue in him which got me thinkin it was a Corkwing maybe? Cant really make out the blue in the pic, just on his cheeks. :arrow:

The other one just looked skinnier than most Ballens. :arrow:

Thanks in advance for the help. A lot of people will say ah a Wrasse is a Wrasse but Im trying to get over 20 species this year.

The 1st one looks like a male corkwing, 2nd a ballan and the 3rd a short spined sea scorpion Jay :wink:

Is it just me or does the first fish have patterning on the underside of the head very similar to that of the Rockcook Wrasse, I know the blue on the rest of the body seems to be absent on the rest of the body but Jay did mention that one of the fish was very blue, possibly a rockcook?

A rockcook also known as 'small mouthed wrasse' has a smaller head, and the colouration of the head is more vivid that the corkwing.
