was in Laytown Gormanstown and Donabate yesterday, very little weed about though the line did get covered on the out going tide in laytown and incoming tide in Donabate, but again nothing to be that concrened about (quick shake of the line got rid of most of it), took a trip down to skerries whilst the tide was out and there seems to be a lot of weed about there

Fished Dunany wed and very weedy, so moved round to port beach and it was clear, so its hard to say, only a few miles between the 2 spots and the difference was unbelievable.. I'd say at the minute, just go were ye want, chuck out one rod with just a weight, wait a few minutes take it back in and check it. Better than lugging all your gear from the motor and then having to take it all back again.. Wish i had done that yesterday

Fished Killiney yesterday, run up to high water very little weed from high water onward loads of weed close to shore making the retrive bloody hard, also keeping the lines seriously tight and tripod high to keep the lines clear of the onshore weed, the weed itself was a mixture of broken kelp, mermaids hair, and sea grass, which once on the line would pull the weight lose and there was a real danger of losing tackle with the weight of the line, and only got one mack on a single clip down rig casted at distance baited with.......LUG  (i've caught macks on mack, and rag but never on lug before!!) wouldnt really mind it so much but had the short rod out with feathers looking for them on that!!
There was that much weed around i was hopin a few "lads" would come down and smoke it away !!
Sparky+1 and myself had a tough time through it!

Fished a small beach between Dunany and Port beach today (fri 16th) , water was clear enough and was only getting small bit of weed on the retrieve, big difference in the space of a few days, drove to dunany on wednesday and it was like soup, so its clearing up along that stretch.
