Garryvoe tonight, the Hotel beach, plenty of weed at the high water mark. No weed outside that. The caravan gap looked the same plenty of weed at the high water mark (did not fish there)
As the tides are slackening off a lot of this weed will be left stranded on the beach around the 4mt tide mark.
1 dog and 1 strap conger, fished 1/0 hooks for cod

Is Ballywilling permanently blocked off Donal or was it just some sort of temporary obstacle?

Thanks

The slip was damaged last year and county council put a makeshift barrier at the top of the slip. You could walk around it .
Now they have the barrier blocking the slip and car park. To get to the beach you would have to pass the usual "Danger No Entry" signs

Out in east cork last night lads- all the weed on the beach I was on was deposited at high tide with the onshore wind and the fishing was pretty clean on the drop. No bass or cod but one lovely flounder of 1.75lb (uploaded in my album) and with low water up being the prime time in my location there may have been more fish if I could've stayed til 2 or 3 am... that's fishin!

Tried to fish Ballybrannigan Sunday the 10th but weed was a disaster. The same day went to Claycastle and was happy to say weed was not a problem fished right up to the high water mark.
Tuesday the 12th weed wasn't a problem around Ballycotton and the surrounding area.
Thursday the 14th Deepwater Quay in Cobh no weed to speak of.
