I wont know until sunday myself shortcircuit, if its any good to you, i was down by ring over two weeks ago and again a few days later the clumps of weed floating on the surface was bigger then myself, same in kinsale last week and warren strand over a week ago was ok for surface weed but there were bad patches further back up the esturary, Garretstown beach was clear enough last week , i havent been down to courtmac in months thats about as close as i can go for you, i hope you get an answer man.

I'll know tomorrow! If the estuary is bad I might try a few other spots around there. I have brand spanking new Black Minnow to road test!

Weed situation in Pillmore,Youghal was yielding 2 lb of weed a cast on Sunday, Ring in Ballymacoda the same, Ballycroneen I didn't try due to giant floating moulds of weed that were being brought in by the extremely high tide coupled with the wind straight into the face, I attempted to fish Ballinwillin from the slipway weed didnt appear as bad but upon reeling in there was a fair bit on the line, headed straight to ballycotton pier after that and blanked but no weed as it was sheltered, one good thing to report was a codling was caught from the pier.

A lot of the beaches down eastcork way were awash with massive amounts of weed last night following the recent south easterlies.Shame really as plenty fish about once the line wasn't been dragged down the beach by weed monsters after a few minutes.
