Very frustrating situation in Ring/Clon/Courtmac etc... these are all my local marks and I'm being turned off bothering to go out at all these days.

Is there any way around it?

There is very fine weed in the water all along the BB/BC stretch John. You'll find a few clear spots but you'll have to look hard.

was on ballybrannigan last night, and like Pat said lots of fine weed in the water. Especially right at the start of the beach, as you more further down it did clear up. A few small flounders to show for it, but no bass.

Fished Ballybranigan yesterday 14/08/2011 all good no weed up the beach. Was talking to a fella who had fished the beach the day before and had trouble with with weed seems to have cleared up with the wind changing direction.
