Fished Newcastle last night fishible but strong undercurrent kept getting snagged

what is bannow or lacken like at the moment?

clones beach clear saturday night...no weed ,no tide, very few fish

SE beaches loads of stringy weed and the lettuce in the water

Tried Kilcoole this evening . Was weedy as hell. Massive big lumps of brown weed every cast. Not that green sea lettuce stuff though. Don't reckon it'd be too bad on the lures though.water was clear and flat calm

Thats the great thing about these forums. I don't know Daveyboy, but after posting the question above he was kind enough to PM me re the weed and has saved me a trip down here. Thanks buddy!

Any update on how the south wexford beaches are this week? Ballyheally, Cullenstown, Bannow, etc?? Or Tramore area in waterford??? Any help appreciated..
