what is the best way to get your snoods the right length for clipdowns.

Add all the componets but dont tighten the crimps, then put on a lead, put the hooks into the clip and use the weight to get the snoods to the right tension, then tighten you crimps.

You can also use a powergum stop knot (or double) below the rig or cascade swivel to adjust the snood length to the right size and tension.

Another alternative to the stop knot which I have found good is the Gemini adjustable crimps that have a rubber insert and can be moved up and down the line to adjust the snood length. Once in the right position you can lock them in the right position. They are also good when using SRT springs to tension the snoods - but SRT and adjustable crimps add expense to the rig.
