Dunnycove Bay and Bass in West Cork. HELP NEEDED!!

Sat Jun 18, 2011 8:34 pm

Hi.

I am planning a trip in tomorrow to Clonakilty. I went to have a look at Dunnycove Bay today, but alas I could not find the mark. I followed the sign in Ardfield and that lead me to a maze of tiny roads. I did find a lovely little bay with a slipway and beach, but I don't think that was the mark, as everywhere I have read about it, it is described as a rock platform. I am very confused now.

I have a very good friend from he UK staying with me at the moment and I have promised him some decent Bass fishing which is the reason he came. Today we tried the usual well known marks on the strands like Inchydoney, Garretstown, etc and they were either full of surfers or riddled with weed, making fishing nearly impossible and not enjoyable at all. My friend is going back on Monday and I am getting desperate, distance within West Cork is not an issue.

Any help would really be appreciated, total discretion assured.

Many thanks in advance lads.

Jules
