Sutton esturary to Bailey Light house

Can anyone tell if this area produces fish. I have been bashing away at Lions Head, the small beach with the steps down to it and the small shelter, Red Rock and the Sutton esturary and nothing seems to be happening. Any info would be be great. Thanks

The lionshead is one of those fishing spots that you expect to fish very will,
but for all the years i have fished there i have never been completely happy.
There is still good sport there from early summer to late autumn. It is great for dogfish, wrasse,
mackerel, whiting and the odd codling and pollack, but apart from dogfish none of great size or amounts.

Lions Head and the beach with the steps down to it before you get to Lions Head scream fish especially Pollock and Bass but your right it just does not seem to produce consistantly, maybe a bit more perserverance. Good to hear that there are bass of that size knocking about. Thanks for the replys guys.

I wonder how much the pipeline has affected things along the area.

The bait beds have changed quite a bit so i would say the fishing will be a bit different from what it used to be!!

From what I've heard the first pipeline they laid killed off the bass fishing in Balydoyle estuary. That was what about 10 years ago. So it could easily have had a profound effect on the entire area
