Looking for Offset hook pictures

Fri Apr 15, 2011 2:36 pm

As anyone images of the likes of the B940 kamazan pre and post offseting of hooks. I want to see how much should they be offset by if you choose to offset.

Also what makes you decide whether to offset or not?

I haven't tried offsetting my own hooks but have started using gamakatsu offset ones and find them very good. The hooks themselves are big tho. I found the 2\0 to be almost as big as kamasan aberdeens in 4\0. I can stick up a pic tomorrow if there's not already up by then

That would be great. I'd be using size 1 or 2 hooks for dogs

heres the pic,
i didnt have a 2/0 aberdeen to compare so stuck on a 4/0 instead. the shank on the 4/0 is longer but the gape is about the same size
the 2nd lot are b940 in size 2 and an offset size 2.
both offset hooks are gamakatsu. their very strong and not likely to bend too easy if hit by a snag but should land a pretty big fish if hooked. got them from dan in the halfway
