I know of a beach beside brittas but i don't know the name of it but its very close. if you cant get directions for that off anyone brittas is next. Much better chance on these beaches to produce a good fish and then you have Ennereilly south of brittas. The smuts are beginning to show there at moment. it will certainly beat the east coast beaches i can tell you...

All the beaches to wicklow head are shingle. From wicklow head down they are sandy. The first beach is silver strand which a low water is one beach. There are two caravan parks offering access to swimmers for payment. Next there is blainroe beach through the golf course road followed by maheramore which has access through a road that was a right of way but was closed off so is a long walk and is popular with surfers. There are more closed off beachs such as jacks hole but the first sandy beach with easy public access is Brittas bay.
