Anyone know of any marks around south-south west Donegal where cod can be caught from the shore?? What would be the best tactics?

Its a bit early but try white mackerel feathers (ideally baited) off a boat on an inshore reef mark with a good tide running and keep the lead bouncing off the rocks... FWIW.
In another month or so, big lugworm baits (or mched mackerel) poured into a whole squid body on a pennel rig, 4/0s is my preference and bang them out over mixed ground. Long wait but worth it.
FWIW...

I'd heard a rumour years ago that cod were attracted by the rattling of the chain mats beam trawlers use under their nets, so maybe there's some sense in the bit above about banging the lead off the bottom - maybe the cod like the noise.
I've heard the same tip for fishing for tub gurnard. Not much of a tip for shore angling, but I thought I'd stick it in anyhow.
I wonder would a few links of steel chain be better than a solid lead - should give more of a rattle:?:

Mark,
They are like hens teeth of the shore in Donegal Bay, if you are serious about them then head for the rough ground and forget about clean marks.

Any ideas on rough marks down this way that might hold a cod or two?

Mark,
PM me and I'll suggest a few spots but apart from codling to 1lb there aren't many about. The last five times I brought the boat in the bay I didn't see a single one.......
