Anybody know where I can get some watch and pyramid leads? I am based in Limerick. Would also be interested if anyone on the site makes them to sell.
Cheers.

I think I saw some, both kinds, in the Donegal Angling Center when I was last there. dunno, wasn't paying attention. Too busy haggling.....
Give John a call on +353 (0)74 91 68496 or 087 2929888. Top bloke, he won't mind a chat.
Postage might be a killer, though.

He definitely had watch leads last time I was in anyway, and he does free delivery on orders over €25!

Thanks Lads,
I will give landers a try first and if not there I will try Cork as I'm down that way in a couple of weeks.

Mick out at Fanore post office had both last year. I am not sure if he sent the pyramids back for re-molding, I had a few off him and he said they didn't sell well. He definitely has the watch leads though.

if you can't get your hands on the watch leads you can make them pretty easily yourself on the cheap. no need for moulds just get a packet of those tea tree lights out of the euro shops. the wee candles in the aluminum holders and take the candles out and use them as your mould. give a wee bit of stripped copper wire a twist as a clip and your good to go man.

you can vary the weight of them by how much lead you pour into them. i make them from 2oz to 5oz and they are the buisness for fishing beaches with a bit of surf where you don't have to use a gripper. lifesavers espically when there is a bit of weed about

. i also give them a bit of a modification for estuary fishing over soft muddy beds. to ensure the lead dose'nt get buried in the mud i give them a wack while they are still hot when i rip them from the mould with a block hammer and it flattens them out to sbout the size of a rich tea biscuit

. in these hard finincial times every penny counts man
