I see a rod on e-bay that I am interested in but it is for collection only (Ramsgate, Kent). Generally I would pass on an item like this but maybe the price might be too good to refuse. Any ideas/suggestions on how one would go about collection if auction is won.
Maybe somebody else on this site has had a similar experience.
Thanks.

Yeah i had the same thing happen aswell, kinda annoying when u find something nice on ebay

What i did was I sent a PM to the guy i bought the goods off and asked him if i rang the post office and found out the charge of posting it and paid him for it, would he be willing to post it over to me... Now i was lucky as he was willing to help me out but reason being ppl only have collection is they dont want the bother of posting fee's on the item you bought!
Hope this was some help 2 u

Thanks for the advice lads. I think I will play it by year and wait until the last 2 seconds to make my mind up. If its a good price then the carriage may not seem too bad.

The Rod - A Century Carbon Metal BB (in good nic) went for £97 or in real money €110. Someone got a good deal.

thinking about putting my own century black bird in the for sale section, but that will be the same, collection only.
