Saint mullins is the place to go ,fish lite 6 to 8 lb line, rod and reel to match and the
all important tazmanian devils are the job ,i prefer the blue and black ones .

early morning as in sunrise is the best time, and make sure your there for the first of
the big spring tides . you will pick up fish through the day but sun up and sun down are
the best times .. hope this helps and the best of luck

The river can rise very quickly and fishing from the bank is fine. Using a light line like 4lb allows you to cast the Tasmanian Devil very far anyway.

Stay on the bank, the river bed is very soft and when the tide starts to push the water level rises
very quick ,on the big tides the road that runs along the river can be under a foot of water .
