Hi guys , I,m an old hand at shore fishing but totally new to Rossnowlagh Beach . While home last month I tried spinning from the rocky outcrop that's at the top end of the beach which can only be fished from at low water . Unfortunately on day one my waders had split at the knee and as I had to wade across to this location my feet were soon soaking and that was that. The following day I had my chest waders on and managed to spin for an hour or so but blanked . On top of that I was worried about the filling tide cutting me off so returned to the safety of the shore. I am confident that there are fish to be had at this venue and will return next month with beachcasters and fish from the shore using bait etc . Has any member out there tried their luck from that outcrop if so what state was the tide or is it just not worth a soaking ! Any advice or help welcome .. John

3 hook flappers with long snoods on size 2 hooks with plenty of bling should get you plenty of flatties, coalies, whiting and pollack on the beach man. rag or lug tipped off with a sliver of mack or squid will do the trick for a rod nodding session

Flatties, small albeit, and coalies going to be the staple here until we see the spring blossom properly John. Three hook flappers into darkness, lug and mac should see you straight.
