Anyone used/fished this rig? I made some up with more glittery and glowy attractors than a raver then saw that it wouldn't be too common.

I assume it would act like some coarse rigs where the lead is used to set the hook upon take?

if you hooked one fish like a dogfish on the top hook , the fish would pull the trace all together and you will end up with a knot when the second snood gets raped around it.
if you hooked 2 fish , the 2 fish will get pulled toghter in a knot .

How do you mean? I figured a catch like a doggie on the top snood would simply pull the bottom snood/snap swivel up to the beadstop at the mainline swivel, All I can see that doing is reversing the position of the lead which would in theory leave the 4 1/2ft length totally clear of the rest of the rig, except for an approx 12inch bottom snood which could wrap itself around the lead. This may well be why the rig isn't popular,I think it's worth a try though,if anything I can always salvage the rig bits,no harm done.

I do agree though, two fish would be a different matter

Found this on another site that offers these premade.

A 2 hook rig based on a combination of pulley rig and running ledger for highly sensitive bite indication. The Lower snood is below the free running lead, acting like a basic running ledger rig but with the upper snood also working as a pulley rig. An excellent rig to use from a Beach or Boat for any species from Bream to Tope/Conger as with the interchangeable looped-on snoods you can customise the rig to match your particular fishing conditions.

Worth a chuck

the fact that it isnt clipped down would restrict casting distance ,tried it for bass and it tangled alot on surf beaches,a single pully works better ,maybe it would be ok in deep water or rock marks?

Have tried all sorts of rigs including this one. Found 2 dabs when using a light lead helicopter making one hell of a good job tangling the snoods in a right mess. As with every rig it could have it uses but I gave up.

I remember a rig called a helocopter rig from sea angler that had two leads, I couldn't get it to stay tangle free.
