What works for me is tip all your razors into the sink(no plug in it) boil a big pan and a kettle full of water. Then pour all the boiling water over the razors at one time. Allow them to cool and drain. Then try and get as much water off them as you can with either kitchen roll or newspaper. Then lay them out singley in you freezer, this will freeze them as quickly as possible in a domestic freezer. Once frozen bag them up in freezer bags a dozen or so at a time. Then put all your small bags inside a thick opaque white plastic bag in the freezer. This helps to reduce freezer burn.

your prob freezing too many at once, has your freezer got a fast freeze button ?i never blanch them as i,ve tried blanched mussel and its useless ,the trick with freezing fish is it has to be frozen quickly, commercial bait suppiers blast freeze everthing ,turn your freezer up full blast the day before you intend freezing them ,i just put two in their shells in a small freezer bag,the shell also prevents freezer burn get as much air out of the bag as possible, when their frozen i put a load in a carrier bag and dish into them as required, they are a great frozen bait and cheap too 8)( if your using a fridge /freezer turn up the fridge full the day before this will help the freezer get colder)

I just freeze them in sandwich bags of about 10. Leave them in an empty bucket for an hour after digging them so they drain most of the water that they take on when alive and pop them in the freezer. I've never done any more with them and they catch good fish for me and stay on the hook with the help of bait elastic.
