Deccent Fish in Cork?/Bait?

Sun Jan 23, 2011 5:04 pm

Right
im only new to sea fishing, but its become somewhat of an addiction (which has to be good).im fairly restricted as i don,t have any means of transport besides the bus/train from cork and do most of my fishing in either monkstown or cobh!Does anyone have any pointers on wheres fishing well at the moment my main focus is to get a flatfish (flounder) being the most likley im guessing?
ive had a fair amount of small fish codling/whiting mostly so a change of venue and a new species would be magic.
thanks

is it true the bigger the bait the bigger the scent therefor the bigger the fish?i cant even get my little scales to bump up to one pound

I've piles of razor clams the length of your leg and i'll do my bestest to get ya a good codling this week. Tuesday or thursday, not sure which day i can do yet but i'll let ya know. Start tying a few 4/0 pennels. :D

Hi fishy 1987,

Are you the guy I met on Monkstown pier a week or two ago, I remember you had to run for the bus. If I am right, I'm the guy who was bumming bait elastic off ya if you remember. PM me if your stuck and I'll sort something out for ya. Will be heading out tonight and maybe later in the week if your interested. Tonight looks promising for an east cork beach i think.
