Cod??

Hi fellas,a couple of us are headin down south hoping to ambush a couple of cod for the pan,even the fishmongers have no cod,we hav none up ere in mayo at all:(not sure of marks in cork or waterford,any help appreciated

TBH there is little or no cod worth talking about in Cork harbour at the moment. The best of the cod fishing ended about the end of December.
The cod start to show at the end of October and are best fished on the slacker tides
Some of the East Cork beaches might be showing some small cod but it’s really hit or miss and these are purely night venues.
Not too sure about the Youghal estuary for this weekend but big tides and the Blackwater in full flood fish would be hard to get.
