Sea fishing in West Cork can be very good and in many areas is underexplored. The Beara and Sheeps Head peninsula's come to mind. Click on http://bit.ly/grqlUz or work off the home page of http://www.anirishanglersworld.com. You will find a lot of up to date information relating to West Cork shore fishing. Ballan wrasse, pollack, mullet, codling, and flatfish are well covered.

As ashley said above, the beara is a cracking spot to fish. If you pop beara peninsula into the search on this site you'll find loads of old posts with info on the area and what species you can target. :)
