Lumpfish?

Having seen yngkmd's impressive lumpfish caught at Portrush, just purely out of curiosity I'd like to know of other specimens caught on rod and line?

I only ask because I know they are in my local water from them turning up in nets but havent heard of any being caught by anglers.

Peculiar fish.

Caught this one in the summer above a wreck in 300 ft of water. Apparently they stay in deep water when young and feed on jellyfish. when they mature they breed in shallow water. The difference in colour is interesting maybe down to habitat

Caught on mackeral. Apparently they will eat any thing they can catch the problem is they are slow swimmers thats why they eat jellyfish

Might be worth a chuck this weekend, the high water is getting late thoughh, or early if you want to set the alarm?
