i am loking for tips as to the best area to go to at the moment, ive got a few days off next week and want to get the rod out, i dont care whats about just want to ave a fair chance of landing sumthing......ta very much

Have a look at the reports section. Its clear to see that cork is fishing quite well at the moment. There are loads of other spots that I'm sure are fishing well also but If I were you I'd be on the road to cork! 2 1/2 hours should get you there these days. Get some pennel rigs on running ledgers loaded with lug crab cocktails or simply lug with a tip of mackerel. Cork angling have decent frozen bait. I have always caught codling on their frozen crab. Your bound to catch a few codling in and around the hotspots monkstown being one. You might even catch something for the tea..but don't put pictures up or you might be begrudged for catching some fish!! :p :p best of luck wherever you end up going. Let us know how you get on.

If your gonna make the journey anyway you might as well go to Cork, Waterford or Kerry!
