Seapoint and Blackrock, Dublin

Sat Nov 06, 2010 9:33 pm

Living so close to Seapoint i've never seen a fisherman there. Does anyone know if its worth fishing and general info such as what species, what time of year, what tide to fish on etc?
Any info appreciated and pms welcome if not wanting to give info publicly!

hi, from what ive been told you are not allowed to fish on seapoint beach. I play a lot of pitch and putt there and when i made enquires about nobody fishing there i was told that there was no fishing allowed and that it was heavily enforced. I was told that the closest places that you were allowed to fish was clougherhead and laytown but not in between. For all i know this could be a load of bo@@ox but ive played pitch and putt there for over twenty yrs and never seen anyone fishing. Hope this helps.

Fished sea point two years ago for an hour. Nothing doing and I'd say that if I'd stayed longer I may have picked up a micro dab or whiting but not much else. There are many better places to fish within five minutes drive. I'll send you a pm if you are interested.
