Razor clams this weekend

Sat Nov 06, 2010 10:05 am

The tides today and tomorrow will drop to a low of 0.2m in cork. Does anyone know is that low enough to pick razor clams. I've only ever picked them on low tides of about 0.0m. The beach i'm going to is the one below the small car park before you cross the bridge. Anyone from cork that picks clams will know where i'm talking about. I'm planning on getting out to try for them tomorrow so please let me know if i'd be wasting my time taking the trip down there.

Cheers,
Evan

if the wind is blowing from land out to sea you should get plenty but not knowing where you are going on about its hard to say?if the wind is forcing the sea into the beach you will be lucky to get out onto the razor beds
