Tide Tables????

Thu Oct 07, 2010 1:16 pm

Right sorry if this is a dumb question, but someone may be able to help me,

Would there be much of a difference (time wise) between North Wall Dublin hide tide and Arklow high tide?

Also is high or low tide better fishing in Arklow?

Any help much appreciated.

:)

High water in Arklow is minus 2h:15min on spring tides and minus 2 hours on neaps

I'd personally avoid easy tide as I find it is often way out. An example for today is Dublin with most tide tables predicting HT at 4:10pm but easy tide says 2:55pm. For Arklow I would normally go by Courtown tides and deduct about 15 minutes from the time there. Arklow like Courtown can have funny tides two with the way the high water meets from the tide rising from the north and south.

Hi Conor,

With easytide you have to add 1 hour daylight saving time, so if it reads 2:55 it should be 3:55 :)

Yeah I seen that Al after I posted   But I really don't think it's reliable as it's been off before.

The only thing is that site does not have a Courtown tide table. Wexford can be a bit mental for the tides especially around that stretch of coast. Sometimes I "just go" when down there and not worry about the tides. I've had some nice fish too

I'd be the same as you, I only check the tides for dublin for bait and i'll head out either way then
