New to Fishing

Heya im new to costal fishing and was wondering if anyone knows of any lug worm beaches or places to get your own bait around sligo or donegal?

I just dont see the point in buying it.

Inside Streedagh Point has massive lugworm beds, never dug there but looks promising...

FWIW

the part of streedagh near the carpark has damn all lug - there are loads of casts but an hours digging will barely get you 20 lug

maybe at lower water or other parts of that bay there might be more worms - but as some locals have told me it doesnt seem to be the case

Streedagh is disaster for digging lug. Loads of work for very little reward. Try the Strandhill side of Ballisodare bay. take the road between Strandhill and Ransboro and dig anywhere to your right. The best spots are just as the road turns inland. You'll see a little carpark, walk out in front of that and you'll be able to dig as much lug as you want. donegal- there is few very good marks for lug near donegal town around chanels 30 min diggin enough for all day
